The Tareen Foundation, founded by Drs. Basir and Mohiba Tareen, is a non-profit organization committed to alleviating the burden of medical debt for individuals and families. With a strong belief in the importance of healthcare, the foundation strives to ensure that no one is held back or burdened by the financial implications of medical expenses.

Basir and Mohiba Tareen established  the foundation to empower and uplift those affected by this financial strain.

In addition to our debt relief efforts, the Tareen Foundation focuses on raising awareness about the issue of medical debt and advocating for policy changes that promote affordable healthcare. Engaging in public discourse and collaborating with like-minded organizations, the foundation strives to address the root causes of medical debt and work towards long-term solutions.

Through its compassionate approach, the foundation aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by medical expenses, fostering healthier and more equitable future for all. 

Apply for a medical grant from the Tareen Foundation by submitting an application that explains your need and how you will use the grant. Applications will be reviewed, and you will be contacted if your grant is approved. Grant payments will be made directly to a medical, housing facility/clinic, or a 501c3 organization. We do not make grant payments directly to individuals.

The application form can be submitted via the form at the bottom of the Home Page or at the bottom of the Apply For Help page. Either option will get your application to our team.

Applicants can apply for grants online at tareenfoundation.org. Our board will review the applications and approve or deny them within seven business days. If the grant is approved, the payment will be made directly to the 501c3 organization or a medical, housing, or other applicable facility. We do not make payments directly to individuals. 

Our support is available to individuals or families facing financial hardship due to medical debt. Eligibility is determined based on specific criteria outlined in our application process. We encourage interested individuals to review our guidelines and apply if they meet the necessary requirements.
